Welcome to the world of railway modelling, beginning with a mini diorama!

The SEKISUI Main Line in miniature.
At the Sekisui Kinzoku factory in Tsurugashima, Japan, there is a narrow-gauge railway known as the SEKISUI Main Line. (This is no model railway, but a real one you can actually ride on!)
This diorama kit has been designed to capture the charm of the SEKISUI Main Line, as though a little piece of its enchanting world had been gently captured on a miniature stage.
For those who follow the gentle trace of creation, much like a long, wandering journey.

Wonderland of living things and railways
Full-colour booklet/100p
B5 size
IIn this booklet, the appeal of the SEKISUI Main Line is explored in two parts.
The SEKISUI Main Line opened in June 2024 and is one of the world's newest narrow-gauge railways.
At its heart is a dual-gauge main line running around the factory and warehouse buildings, accommodating both 762 mm (2 ft 6 in) and 610 mm (2 ft) gauges on three-rail track. The railway forms a continuous loop, comprising 630 metres of non-electrified single track.
Branching off the main line is a three-road engine shed, situated within the adjacent KATO Railway Park (Tsurugaoka Park). Roads 1 and 2, on the factory side, are connected to the main line by 762 mm gauge tracks. Road 3, on the park side, is served by a dedicated 610 mm gauge track, with a small turntable along its length.
There is also a light railway exhibition shed near the factory entrance. This is connected to the dual-gauge main line by a 762 mm gauge siding, which is used only when moving vehicles to or from the exhibition shed.

The first half explores the English naturalistic garden surrounding the railway, while the second half focuses on OSCAR, one of the world's newest steam locomotives, built in Japan in 2024. Its story is brought to life through a wealth of photographs and illustrations.
The philosophies of the Scottish gardener who created the landscape and the craftsmen who continue to build steam locomotives in the modern age have together given this young railway a quiet vitality that continues to captivate visitors.

Locomotives Like Me
Full-colour booklet/48p
A5 size

Locomotives Like Me is a small picture book.
It tells the story of a girl who did not like herself.
No one quite knew why. Whenever she tried to explain, the words would slip away, like steam dissolving into the air.
When she said, “I don’t like myself,” people would frown and tell her she shouldn’t say such things. Others would simply nod and move on, as though it were nothing at all. Some seemed to accept it almost too readily, which somehow made the feeling even harder to bear.
There were books, too, offering advice on how to learn to like oneself. And there were kindly voices saying, “Girls look prettiest when they smile.”
They meant no harm. Yet somehow, those words only made her want to cry.
So she stopped trying.
Then, one day, something different happened.
She was praised.
Not because she had tried. Not because she had changed. But simply for being herself.
No conditions. No instructions. No gentle corrections hidden behind the words.
Just a quiet, unquestioning warmth.
And something inside her began to change, almost without her noticing.
She no longer needed to chase the idea of liking herself. Somehow, she had moved beyond it, into a place where something else was waiting.
A place where she could simply love.
And there, in that quiet place, she found it.
A locomotive.
Its name was OSCAR.
And for her, that was enough.

The mini diorama base included in the SEKISUI Main Line Mini Diorama Kit is approximately twice the size of conventional mini diorama bases.
By using separately available compatible kits, you can also create scenes beyond the SEKISUI Main Line.

Stage
The uppermost layer of the three-layer mini diorama base, known as the ‘stage’, is divided into three sections: a central section for laying the track, and two side sections for creating the scenery.
By using a separately available compatible kit (product number to be announced), the stage can be replaced with one featuring a completely different landscape.
Fixing parts are also included to keep the stage securely in place during transport.
